Learn Hindi by practicing a real reply

Turn familiar Hindi into a conversation you can join. Start with a check-in, an answer, and one follow-up question.

Move from recognizing to answering

Choose one check-in question and one answer from the examples. Say the answer before revealing it. Some Hindi forms change with the speaker or who you are addressing; these are exact lesson examples, not interchangeable forms for every situation.

Try it before you download

At your next family check-in, try the question first and allow time for an answer. Use the translation to understand what your reply means instead of memorizing sounds alone.

I tried it — what next?

Try once more without looking. If a word is still difficult, practice that small part and then put it back into the full exchange. In Bhol, choose Hindi to continue with lessons and guided conversations.

Make this practice useful outside the lesson

Choose someone you feel comfortable practicing with and explain that you are working on a short exchange. Ask them to reply at a pace you can follow. If they use a different phrase, ask what it means and when they prefer it. The goal is to understand and respond, not to force every conversation to follow a script.

Transliteration lets you start speaking without already reading Devanagari. It is a guide to the written example, not an audio recording. Compare it with the voices you hear at home and use the native script view when it is useful to you.
