For Tamil activities and hobbies, use the preference examples when saying what you like doing. Use the photo-taking example when describing something you intend to do. Separate a hobby preference from a plan
The key distinction is whether you are describing a general preference or an intended action. The reading and listening examples use the pattern built around liking an activity, so they fit when someone asks about your hobbies or what you enjoy. The photo-taking example instead describes going or intending to do something, so use it for a plan rather than a standing preference.
The question is useful for asking another person about an activity, but its wording is closer to asking what they want to do than to a precise “What are your hobbies?” question. The short follow-up can encourage someone to continue, yet it is not automatically warm or enthusiastic: intonation and context may make it sound neutral or abrupt.
